V E R investigates the paradox of Schrödinger’s cat thought experiment from 1935 as a choreographic concept.

The experiment suggests that before the researcher opened the box to find the cat dead or alive, the cat momentarily existed as both. Similarly, before the audience perceives a performance they have expectations of what they will find.

Exploring the expected, the unexpected, and both, V E R shatters audience's preconceived ideas on dance performance, keeping the viewers on edge.

First performed as a site-specific work in May 2018 in Sentralen building, Oslo, commissioned by Norwegian Opera and Ballet, V E R has now become a full theatrical work.

V E R is a collaboration between three dance artists - Ingvild Krogstad, Carmine De Amicis and Andre Kamienski. The music for the Sentralen performances has been performed live by students of Norwegian Academy of Music.
