Effervescence

Effervescence is the escape of gas from an aqueous solution and the foaming or fizzing that results from that release.
Effervescence is a dive into deconstruction of the meaning, image and event of the action, magnifying a pop of a bubble by a thousand times and re-imagining it as the biggest of tragedies.
A focus was pulled towards an effervescent tablet, its perfect shape and form, and how easily it was disrupted by a single drop of liquid, creating a scene of passion and metamorphosis out of the smallest event. We found beauty and connection with occurrences that could easily be missed or ignored.
Effervescence is a collaborative work of contemporary dance, design and visual arts. We have co-produced this work together with designer Afra Zamara and director of photography Carmen Pellon.
This work has been a true turning point for KAMIENSKI. as a collaborative company, a performance which brought myself and my collaborators closer than ever.
Effervescence was first performed as part of Moving Words in Nov 2017 at artsdepot, London.
